Inspired by a shared appreciation of The Beatles Revolver album cover by Klaus Voorman, Neal Ashby and design partner Matthew Curry attempted a true collaboration: both artists served as illustrator and designer, handing the storyline and digital files back and forth, over and over, until the lines between design and illustration were blurred. A 32 page book was included in the package, and limited editions of the merchandising poster and skateboard decks were made for sale. The creative process was illustrated in detail on a pop up website The Art of Versions. Ashby Design was featured on the Apple website for both the art and the technology used in creating the design. The package went on to be nominated for the Grammy® Award for Best Recording Package.
